Clams in Garlic & Lemon Sauce
Clams are a great source of zinc and B vitamins which help support sperm and egg quality. Give my recipe a tray:
2 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion
4 garlic cloves
2 cups chicken or vegetables broth
½ cup chopped parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
2 lbs clams
Juice of 1 lemon
Chop the onion, mince the garlic and chop the parsley. Set aside.
In a large pot, saute onion and garlic in olive oil until soft and aromatic
Add broth and cook for 2 minutes
Add parsley, salt and pepper and stir
Add clams and stir. Cover and cook on medium heat until they open, about 10 minutes.
Serve with broth in a bowl with a slice of toasted French baguette.
Note: Do not consume clams that did not open up after cooking.
